Call for Workshops/Tutorials
Call for Workshops/Tutorials Proposals at the 19th EURO Working Group on Transportation Meeting
The Organizing Committee of 19th EURO Working Group on Transportation Meeting (EWGT2016) solicits proposals for full and half-day tutorials and workshops that address important and new topics related to the main theme of conference: basic research and applications of leading advances related to the "Simulation and Optimization of Traffic and Transportation Systems". Workshops should focus on areas of active research, in order to provide an informal forum for participants to exchange developing research results and ideas. Tutorials should target established fields of research, in order to provide descriptions on its state of the art, by individuals who are recognized researchers of the field. We encourage state of the art programs with high level of interest, impact, creativity and innovation that will attract a broad audience. The primary criteria for selection are anticipated level of interest, impact, novelty or creativity, and technical background of presenters. The submission of a tutorial or workshop proposal must be accompanied by a summarizing pdf file with the following information:
- Format (indicate full or half day, workshop or tutorial);
- Organizers (complete address, phone, and email);
- Abstract (up to 300 words);
- List of topics; and
- Tentative list of presenters together with a draft schedule.
Upon approval the organizers will be asked to produce a workshop dissemination material. The final written material for each workshop or tutorial will be in the form of a single pdf file that should include a cover page, table of contents and workshops-papers, or tutorials-lecture materials.
Deadline for workshop or tutorial proposal submission is May 06, 2016. All submitted workshop papers will be peer-reviewed. Accepted and registered workshop papers will appear in Transportation Research Procedia published by Elsevier. Key dates for full paper submissions apply to workshop papers that are intended to be included in the proceedings. Please check important dates for the overall paper evaluation process.
Selected papers of the conference will be invited to be reconsidered for publication in the theme-based special issues of the journals, including IEEE Intelligent Transportation Systems Magazine, Transportation Research Part C: Emerging Technologies, and Accident Analysis & Prevention.
